Welcome!

The Gaylactic Network is a national organization for gay people and their friends, who are interested in science fiction, fantasy, horror and gaming.

We work through our affiliated clubs on a local level to promote science fiction, fantasy and horror and other related genres in all forms, with particular attention to materials of interest to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people.

On a national level, we promote this interest and provide a forum and resources through this website, through Gaylaxicon, and through email lists for and by the members.

2007 Elections

It is again time for our annual elections. This year, two of our Board members’ terms of service are ending, so, beginning Tuesday, 01 May 2007, we are accepting nominations of candidates to fill these positions. Please see our elections page for more details.

2006 Elections

Network elections took place in June 2006. The members of the Board are:

Gaylaxicons Past And Present

Gaylaxicon 2006, held in Toronto, ON, took place on the weekend of June 16-18. We hope to have photos available soon. If you have any to share, please send them to gaylaxicon2006@gaylaxians.org.

Gaylaxicon 2007 will be held in Atlanta, GA, on the weekend of October 5-8, 2007. Guests of Honour will include Jim Grimsley, Georges Jeanty and Stephen Pagel.

During the 2006 convention, the 2008 Gaylaxicon was awarded to Lambda Sci-Fi (DC Area Gaylaxians). Based in Washington, DC, Lambda Sci-Fi is a Network affiliate of long standing. Guests of Honour will include Geoff Ryman.

In addition, the 2009 Gaylaxicon was awarded to the North Country Gaylaxians of Minneapolis, MN.
