The Gaylactic Network has two Board member positions, and the three elected officer positions: Secretary, Treasurer, and Speaker, currently up for election. They are all two year terms. All members of the Gaylactic Network are eligible to vote and to become Board members. To learn more about the board and officer positions, please refer to the Gaylactic Network charter.

The Network Board is the policy making body for the Network. It generally operates as a low volume Yahoo Group list and has a single annual meeting. Specifically the Charter of the Network lists the duties of the Board:

  1. to discuss and decide any matters within the Board's authority, including elections
  2. to cast a "Yes" or "No" vote within 30 days of a formal vote being requested or before the Board meeting ends if the vote is requested during a Board meeting.
  3. to attend and participate in the annual meeting of the Board, or to arrange for attendance and participation by an informed proxy

If you're a member of Gaylaxicon 2011 or attended 2009 you're probably already a member of the Network and eligible. If you're interested in one of the positions and are not already a member, simply joining one of the conventions or paying a $10 membership fee will make you a member.
